Our Guiding Principles:
Healthy: We never use hormones, antibiotics, pesticides or any other type of chemical anywhere on our farm. Our poultry, pork, beef, rabbits and eggs are simply the leanest, healthiest, most nutritionally dense foods you can find anywhere. The fact that they are absolutely delicious is just a bonus.
Clean: Our animals are moved daily to new pasture and grazing areas - instead of being knee deep in their own manure and bacteria, every day our chickens, rabbits and turkeys are knee deep in fresh grass! We don't feed our livestock dead cows or chicken manure and we support other local environmentally friendly businesses by buying our organic poultry feeds and grains from a local organic feed mill.
Safe: We process all of our animals here on the farm which gives us complete control of their welfare - we do not ship food so your dinner is always fresh and local. Regardless of what happens with the economy or multi-national food corporations, we will always be here to provide a safe source of fresh food for your family.
Humane: You won't find any fecal confinement concentration camps here - our animals are free to feel the sun shining on them, hunt for bugs and lay down in the soft grass. Each creature is processed carefully by hand - no electricution or unecessary pain and trauma. We also raise our animals from 1 day old chicks or very young babies - we don't buy 4H or adult animals that have been medicated and improperly raised, put them on pasture for a couple weeks and call them grass-fed.
Environmentally Friendly: We are 100% committed to improving the soil and growing the healthiest grass possible. Healthy soil makes healthy grass which grows healthy animals. We don't kill our precious soil microbes with chemicals but feed them and maintain biodiversity with managment controlled grazing and pasture rotation.
Transparent: You are welcome to come visit the farm any time you like. Since we don't use any chemicals, there are no "off-limits" areas - we love to have visitors and give tours so we can explain why our food is so much better than what you can buy anywhere else. Bring the kids - we are family friendly!
